Sports director Erik Hoftun are very pleased with Wednesday's signing of Fredrik Winsnes.

Erik Hoftun and Rosenborg has signed a two-year contract with Fredrik Winsnes, and the sporting director is looking forward to getting Winsnes on the team in 2010.

- First and foremost, Fredrik a very good footballer. He is a creative force in the midfield, has decisive passing and is very safe with the ball. Fredrik will provide something in the midfield which we lack a bit today. In addition, he is a "Rosenborger" and a very nice person who will go nicely into the group, says Hoftun to RBK.no.

Hoftun reveals in the process that the club hope to sign more players before next season.

- Yes, without saying much about it, we hope to sign two new players.
