Rosenborg will get good competition in the Europa League. Both Spanish and German top sides will come to Lerkendal.

Atletico Madrid
The Spanish side is the reigning champions of the UEFA Europe League as the beat Fulham in last season’s EL final. Atletico Madrid was number four in the Primera Division in the 2008/2009 season and as winners of the EL they were automatically qualified for this year’s competition.
The most familiar face in their squad probably is the super striker Diego Forlan, but the other strikers José Antonio Reyes and Sergio Agüero are also capable to find the net against all opposition. Atletico Madrid play their home games at Vicente Calderón Stadium with a capacity of 55 000 spectators.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen
The 106 year old German side ended as number four in the Bundesliga last season. Michael Ballack is maybe the most known player for Norwegians, but they have good players in all positions. Sami Hyypiä is amoung the defenders and René Adler will be trying to stop the shots from Prica and Iversen.
Aris Thessaloniki
The Greek side has players from ten different nationalities. They were promoted to the Greek Premier League in the 2006 season and got to the cup finals last year.
