Rosenborg got behind twice during the game at Sør Arena, but showed their skills and winning spirit by turning the score.
As expected the game between Start and Rosenborg became a game worthy the entrance fee. Both sides wanted to attack and score the first goal, and it was the home side that eventually managed to do so.
Christian Bolaños had his back to the goal as he received a cross in the 22nd minute, but headed backwards over Daniel Örlund and into the net.
But Start didn’t stay ahead for long. Rade Prica finished on goal in the 32nd minute, and Goodson got a foot on the ball as the last man. But Prica was on the spot on the rebound and equalized the score with a powerful header.
Rosenborg created the most in the finishing minutes, but Start was defending aggressively and stopped RBK’s attempts. The half time score was 1-1.
It didn’t take long before the first goal of the second half was a reality. Espen Børulfsen made a low cross to an unmarked Espen Hoff that easily sent the home side in a new lead after just six minutes.
Rosenborg has not lost in the Tippeliga since October 2009 and again they showed that they have skills and will to win tough matches.
Olsen had substituted Iversen at half time and continued making high class crosses troubling the opposition’s defence. 20 minutes into the second half he found Markus Henriksen at the back post, who hammered the ball in the net with a volley shot.
12 minutes later Rosenborg had turned the score. Dorsin made an early cross and Rade Prica headed the ball in the top corner. The fifth high class goal on Sør Arena.
The temperature was high in the closing minutes, and Start also had a ball on the goal line, but Rosenborg could travel back to Trondheim with three points.
