The 3rd qualification round got the name "Battle of Norden" because Rosenborg got Bröndby from Denmark as the last oppstickle before qulification for Champions League. After two victories (Lerkendal 1-0 and Bröndby stadium 2-3) Rosenborg was qualified for UEFA Champions League for the 8th time in a row.
